Rules of Play

1. The I Give @ UHN 50/50 Staff Raffle is run by UHN Foundation.
2. It is open to all staff members of a University Health Network (UHN) affiliated organization, with an active UHN Employee ID number, paid through UHN or Michener Payroll.
3. Ticket purchasers must be located in Ontario and be 18+ to play.
4. Tickets are $5 each, paid for via payroll deduction only. There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be enrolled for by eligible purchasers.
5. The maximum number of tickets available is 22,000. Once 22,000 tickets are assigned, no additional employees are able to take part.
6. To join, an enrollment form must be fully completed and returned to UHN Foundation. It can be accessed at www.igiveatuhn.ca/raffle.
7. Once enrolled, tickets will be submitted for purchase via payroll deduction for all subsequent draws until the entrant opts-out or is no longer employed with a UHN affiliated organization.
8. Payment is withdrawn from a pay preceding the monthly draw date.
9. If payroll deduction is not successful, tickets will be removed from that single draw until next successful deduction occurs.
10. Monthly draw dates for Licence #1493816 are as follows: 10/24/25, 11/21/25, 12/19/25, 1/16/26, 2/13/26, 3/27/26, 4/24/26, 5/22/26, 6/19/26, 7/17/26, 8/14/26, and 9/25/26.
11. Draws take place at 10 a.m. at the offices of MNP (3100 Steeles Ave E) via an AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) approved random number generator (RNG) program.
12. 50% of all monies received for each monthly draw will be awarded to the winning ticket holder to a potential maximum prize of $55,000, dependent upon the number of tickets sold.
13. The winner will be contacted by phone and/or email by 4 p.m. the day of the draw. The winner’s name and ticket number will be shared via an email notification sent to all Raffle enrolees. As well, winner information will be posted in the Team UHN central calendar.
14. Winners agree to allow UHN Foundation to publish their names and consent to public broadcast of all video or photos taken of them for use in promotion of the raffle or other Foundation activities without prior notice of publication.
15. Winners must present the winning ticket number and UHN Employee ID to claim their prize.
16. The prize will be awarded to the winner through an electronic fund transfer, completed in 10 to 15 business days after the winner submits all required documentation. Winners have up to 6 months to claim their prize.
17. Unclaimed prizes will be disbursed to UHN Research in accordance with raffle licence policies.
18. To end participation in the raffle, a cancellation request must be sent to [email protected] or by calling 416-603-6278 (13-6278).
19. Enrolment and cancellation deadlines (including terminations) are: October draw: 10/09/25, November draw: 11/06/25, December draw: 12/04/25, January draw: 12/31/2025, February draw: 01/29/26, March draw: 03/12/26, April draw: 04/09/26, May draw: 05/07/26, June draw: 06/04/26, July draw: 07/02/26, August draw: 07/30/26, September draw: 09/10/26.
20. Entrants whose employment has been terminated by UHN will be withdrawn from the raffle, and their ticket(s) cancelled after their final paycheque. Severance payments are not eligible for raffle deductions.
21. Entrants who choose to withdraw tickets from the raffle, or those terminated from UHN, will receive notification in writing that their ticket numbers have been cancelled. Ticket numbers will be made available for issuing to the next set of interested enrolees.
22. Those UHN Foundation and Payroll Department staff directly involved in the management of the Raffle, along with their immediate family members, are not permitted to enter the draw.
23. When the lottery licence is renewed, all 50/50 Raffle enrollees are issued new ticket numbers under the new licence. This occurs every October.
